Custom Home Building Process

 

The building process includes design, permitting, construction, and moving in. We strive to make the journey as enjoyable as the destination.

The first step is the design process. It is much easier than you think as we guide you through the steps in a relatively short amount of time. Simply bring your Wish Book of ideas and we will combine this with your families needs and lifestyle to design the perfect home. The design process usually requires 3 meetings with the builder and takes about 4-6 weeks. The end result is a home designed "just for you." Everything that you dreamed of will be included in a design that is totally original to you and your family, making your home a true family heirloom.

The next step is permitting. The engineered plans are taken to the building department for review and inspection. Permitting time varies depending on many factors, but usually takes between 2-6 weeks.

The construction process takes about 5-6 months. Meeting at the homesite several times during the process ensures all the details discussed in the design stage are included in the construction phase.

Moving into your new S & T Home is an exciting time! We strive to ensure the home is completely finished prior to closing, so everything is totally ready when the moving truck arrives. The entire process from design to completion, can be accomplished in 7-9 months.
